Youth center is a place where you can come and safely spend spare time alone or with friends. There is one youth center here in Kokemäki: Nuorten nettikahvila aka. Nuokkari (Siltakatu 1C). Usually Kokemäki Youth center is open 3 times a week from 15:00 to 20:00 and on Fridays from 18:00 to 22:30.
You can come to our youth center and play billiards, air hockey, table soccer and console games. It is also possible to play for example ping-pong, card games or various board games – with friends and/or youth workers. It is also very much okay to just chill and hang out with friends. There are sometimes different kinds of competitions and theme nights such as billiard tournaments, bingo nights and Girls´ Nights in the youth center.
Youth workers and youth work professionals are there for the youth and can help as much as possible in various situations. They are there in case somebody needs someone to talk to. The youth center and it’s actions are intoxicant.
The youth services here in Kokemäki consist of two youth workers and one outreach youth worker. The youth services do a lot of collaboration for example with schools, youth workshop, church and also with our neighbouring municipalities like Harjavalta. Youth services arrange different kinds of activities, events and trips around the year.
Kokemäen Vaikuttajanuoret is a youth council here in Kokemäki. One can join the youth council if one is between the ages of 13-29 and interested in developing the municipality and its services. The purpose of the youth council is to bring the youth’s voice and opinions heard, promote participation and organise different events and trips for the youth in Kokemäki. The youth workers in Kokemäki are a big part of the youth council and support it. SataNuva is a bigger youth council that consists of youth from every youth council around Satakunta area. Currently, Kokemäki has one member and two deputy members in SataNuva.
